How It Works
Posuls are overall complex, but we'll explain them as simple as possible. They use the proccess of photosynthesis to filter the carbon monoxide (carbon dioxide + oxygen) into standard air gases like oxygen along with common, non-toxic sugars. In the case, we use a semi-liquid form of algae because it contains water and chlorophyll (a plant substance.) Aluminum plates create more suface area for the exaust stream to go through so all of it gets filtered. (Picture on the right explains these proccesses.) Exaust pipes can get very hot as gases move through. If too much gas builds up with the heat, the Posul could explode. To prevent this, we added a small sensor and microcontroller that opens a small air tube when gas builds up to prevent explosion. (See "Safety Concerns" section to learn more about why we decided to implement this.)

Posuls come in a variety of colors you can choose from. Some include black, red, pink, green, purple, silver, gold, and blue. And with an adjustable clamp, no matter the shape of the tailpipe, Posul will fit right on.

Sustainability

Posul is an adjustable device so size or shape of your tailpipe won't be a problem. The end that secures onto the end of the tailpipe has a rubber edging with a metal clamp that will shape and hook cleanly onto the tailpipe. (Image on right shows clamp similar to the one used on the Posul.)Posuls are also washable when the top is unscrewed. The algae can be drained and disposed and the Posul can be hand or dishwashed before refill.
